As well as a wonderful holiday experience, with skilled, friendly
guides, lodge managers and drivers a Guided Walk will typically
provide you with the following;
* All food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas)
* All linen (bedding and towels) at the lodges
* Waterproof plastic liners for bags
* Soap and shampoo at the Lodges
* Backpacks, rain jackets and walking poles
Many of the Lodges have electrical power points ( 240 Volts ) available
so you are welcome to recharge your phones / camera batteries. NO
HAIR DRIERS PLEASE - the electricity supplies cannot power them.
For the Dusky Track you can delete linen and showers from the above
list and nope you wont be anywhere near a light bulb :)
* Everyone is given a sleep sheet so there is no need to bring
a sleeping bag (some people prefer to bring their own silk sleep
sheet).
* For kayakers, all technical and safety equipment is provided,
including stable double kayaks, water resistant paddling tops, buoyancy
vests, dry bags

Lodge Luggage Bag
You will need a large backpack or
sturdy sports bag to fly the bulk of your luggage and evening wear
from hut to hut by helicopter. During the day you need only carry
a small day pack containing wet weather gear and other personal
items you wish to use during the day. Both these bags must have
a waterproof liner or plastic bag.
